Privacy Policy

This is the official Sub-District Kalolsavam portal, run by the festival organisers with Chapparapadava Higher Secondary School as host. It publishes schedules, stages, results and points, and offers a few optional services (result alerts, certificates, alumni registration).

Browsing the portal needs no account and collects nothing personal from you.

Result alerts: the email address you enter, and the items you chose to follow.

Certificate download: the name, email address and chest number you type into the download form. We keep them in a log so the organisers can see who downloaded what.

Alumni registration: the details you enter on the form. Phone, email and location stay private unless you tick the box allowing a public profile.

Feedback: if you answer the short rating prompt, your star rating and comment, plus the name and email/phone only if you choose to type them. The prompt appears after about three minutes of use or on a third visit; we count that time in your own browser and send nothing until you press Send.

Competition data: participants' names, schools, classes and results are published as part of the festival, exactly as on the official Kalolsavam results.

Staff, school coordinators and judges who sign in get a session cookie. Public visitors get no login cookie.

Emails entered for result alerts are used only to send the alerts you asked for. Each alert carries an unsubscribe link.

Certificate details are used to produce your certificate and to keep the download log.

Alumni details are used to organise alumni participation, and shown publicly only with your consent.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for marketing.

To understand how many people use the portal and which pages help them, we use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation switched on and advertising features off. It records page views, device type and approximate region, not your name or contact details. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or a tracking blocker.

Some pages show sponsor banners that the organisers place themselves. They are plain images and links. The portal does not run third-party ad trackers.

Only authorised festival administrators can see the collected emails, certificate log and alumni details. We do not share them with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Data is stored on the portal's own server, protected by access control and encrypted connections (HTTPS).

Data is kept for the festival and the period needed to handle queries and certificates afterwards, then deleted or anonymised.

Unsubscribe from result alerts at any time using the link in any alert email.

To see, correct or delete other details you gave us (certificate log, alumni registration), contact the festival organisers or the Chapparapadava school office and we will act on your request.

Children's data: students are named only in the published festival results. If a parent or guardian wants an entry corrected, contact the organisers.
